Painted this during COVID lockdown.
I live in New York City, which had the dubious distinction of being the number one hotspot when the pandemic really got going. I'm an introvert by nature, but even I started to get the willies being locked down for so long.
And even the occasional, furtive strolls didn't bring much relief since there were field hospital tents set and a line of mobile morgue freezer trucks parked just one block north.
I'm grateful I've never experienced true delirium tremens, but I did begin to feel like things were crawling on me.
